AquaTank - instructions

It takes six steps to install an AquaTank:

1

Ground Preparation:
> AquaTanks must be installed on a level surface.
> It is also very important not to have sharp objects under the floor of the tank or it may be punctured
> A bed of fine sand on a well-levelled surface is ideal, and a 50mm layer should be sufficient.

2

AquaTank Inlet or Outlet Pipes:
> Your AquaTank comes with one 50mm tank connector inlet or outlet built in. Additional pipework may be connected as desired.
> This allows you maximum flexibility of choice as to what pipework system you choose. We show some suggestions below.

3

AquaTank Outlet Pipework Detail:
> Make sure the top surface of the bottom flange is flush with the floor of the AquaTank.
> Plastic or steel pipes can be used for inlets/outlets.

> The above is the best inlet/outlet detail but pipes can also be brought in through the side wall of the AquaTank. If this is done, flexible polyethylene pipes must be used because the AquaTank wall flexes as the dam is filled or emptied.

4

AquaTank Top Inlet Pipe:
> If you cannot bring your inlet through the floor of the dam, then use the detail below:

> It is important to set the stand-pipe in concrete to ensure its stability.

5

Overflow:
> It is wise to ensure that overflow water is controlled or erosion may undermine your AquaTank.
> A hole twice the diameter of the inlet pipe can be cut at the top of the wall to serve as an overflow outlet. Flange a pipe through the Aqualiner and Hi-Driline wall at this point to lead overflow water away.
> Where the overflow water reaches the ground, concrete or stone pitching should be used to prevent erosion near the tank.

6

Increasing Storage Capacity:
> An AquaTank has a storage capacity of 7000l when full.
> AquaTanks can easily be interconnected by pipework to give larger storage capacities.
> Any number of flanged inlets/outlets can be connected to an AquaTank, in any desired configuration.
> AquaTanks can also be mounted on raised platforms to increase water pressure.
