Aquatan obtains its GCLs from CETCO who is the largest Bentonite producer in the world.
CETCO Geosynthetic clayliners are high performance, environmental protection liners comprising a geotextile or geomembrane carrier component integrated (needled) with a
layer of low permeability Bentonite hydraulic conductivity of (5 x 10-9cm/sec) and another layer of geotextile.
The natural Sodium Bentonite’s high
swelling capacity and low permeability provide an effective hydraulic seal. CETCO’s GCLs, with a total thickness of less than 12mm, provide a better hydraulic
performance than several feet of compacted clay.
